Announcing IndependentPublisher.me – Independent Publisher

Since I started this ~~website~~ blog, even without the constant publishing that I had on my mind, I realised I have a considerable number of blog posts that I haven’t written, some I have written but my perfection side (the most dangerous part of me) would not allow me to publish them.
In the past weeks, I have learned and reflected a lot and this moment is one of my less fucks given moment and I feel more urge to CREate, then this medium comes to my mind again. During the recess, I was able to wrap my mind around many books from Getting Real, to War of Art and Action Trumps everything.
The sober time comes with a heavy research and I am glad to have met Bruno Munari (I purchased two of his best books) and the likes of Bret Victor and Edward Tufts, borrowing some knowledge from all these great men made me realised the evil that usually plays my understanding mind and the evil that comes with being different is not only distinct to me, there are at least some brilliant crazy folks out there – and this gives me some joy meeting people who think the way I do.
I am in no way different than the rest, I am not brilliant nor am I a geek – I am just an ordinary human who seeks to understand and create, even when they look horrible.
After months that I have created this ~~website~~ blog, one of my design decision then was to have a simple, fast loading and efficient non-frustrating website and I tried as much as possible to use the simple lazy loading theme I could find out there.
My optimization, caching and constant removing of plugins and codes I am not in need of made me achieve a brilliant page speed then, which I was considerably proud of. But as a human, I still want something faster and well optimized.
My last theme was Independent Publisher and I was so proud of it but having to touch code before I could change my typography (I am your TYPE) was a turn off for me, what if I do not know anything about code or not comfortable using it?
Changing to Write theme was a mere coincidence, a friend was trying to get his shit together and he asked me to help connect his domain with the hosting and setup the WP script – that was how I found Write which I fell in love with at first sight and the new change made me more in charge of the destiny of my website.
Also, this allowed me to test different theme and the speed of my website which to some extent, it is now better than it used to be.
To me, a website should be direct to the point, load faster and should be less distracting plus, I should be able to change my typography and most importantly, I should be able to post any content type without the fear of how my blog will render it.
In the coming weeks, I will be rewriting the story of this website, which I have here and I will also be doing more updates unlike in the past. Even if it is an image that I can post, that also counts as a productive blogging experience.
